Christian Homestead, Inc., began in 1994, near Shreve, Ohio, with the loving work of my husband Rex, and myself, Diane. We erected our brick and mortar store on land that has been in the Dye family for over 150 years. Hence, our name, Christian Homestead; as the land was first homesteaded, turning into a fine farm over the years, and our family has been Christ-oriented for over 5 generations. We began as a Christian Bookstore, offering Sunday School curriculum and Christian Education materials, as well as Bibles, books and other items.

We added our Homeschool Resource Center in 1996, as we began to see the impact homeschooling had, and still has, upon our grandchildren. We saw the need for a store that could offer homeschool curriculum and materials for previewing, as well as purchase. Thus we opened the Resource Center, which offers daily cost savings in order to help homeschooling families stretch their curriculum budget.
